Question Bank Test Results


Sophisticated scoring and analysis so you can target your areas of study and compare yourself to others. The Test Results page…


  • Gives your overall results for the test as a percentage; details of the numbers of questions answered correctly, incorrectly, or omitted; and the average time taken for each question.
  • Provides a more detailed break down of your scores, specific for each Step:
    • Step 1 – by Discipline and Organ System;
    • Step 2 CK – by Specialty, Subspecialty, and Physician Task; and
    • Step 3 – by Clinical Setting, Problem/Disease, Clinical Encounter, Physician Task, and Patient Age.


Review all questions answered, with links to answers, explanations and High-yield Hits. Alternatively, view questions you answered incorrectly by selecting:


  • Incorrect Questions by Disciplines or Incorrect Questions by Organ Systems for Step 1,
  • Incorrect Questions by Specialty or Incorrect Questions by Subspecialty for Step 2 CK, or
  • Incorrect Questions by Clinical Setting or Incorrect Questions by Problem/Disease for Step 3.


Take a few tests and review your cumulative scores in one of four ways.


  • Previous Tests – view all previously taken tests with summaries of your scores.
  • Cumulative Results – view your Overall results for each test, or Review a Test question by question. Further analysis and break down of your results are given for each Step:

    • Step 1 – by Discipline and Organ System;
    • Step 2 CK – by Specialty, Subspecialty, and Physician Task; and
    • Step 3 – by Clinical Setting, Problem/Disease, Clinical Encounter, Physician Task, and Patient Age

  • Compare your results to others gives you a summary of your scores, and a percentile ranking allowing you to compare your performance with other site users.
  • Plots your scores for each test taken (even if incomplete), against the date taken so you can check your improvement as you progress.
